Jonathan came to us for a cosmetic dental consultation after being unhappy with the crowns he had gotten done by his previous dentist, but he could not exactly pinpoint what made his smile look unattractive. When we evaluated Jonathan’s smile in order to find ways to improve it, we noticed his smile did not display symmetry amidst his teeth. Also, the curve of the his teeth had what is called a reverse smile — that is when he smiled a concave curve was created at the edges of his teeth, resulting in a smile line that came across as “unhappy”. Also, his previous porcelain crowns were too flat and lacked dimension. Jonathan’s smile makeover consisted of laser gum line correction to create longer teeth and harmonious gum levels. His old crowns and veneers were replaced with natural and realistic porcelain crowns and veneers that coincide with curvature of his lower lips. His new smile has all of elements of an attractive smile and Johnathan was beyond thrilled with the results.
